Using Netscape Navigator on a PC, it's a simple and painless procedure to set your desktop to display one of these Desktop Art images.

If you're using a different browser or you're not using a Windows machine, it may not be quite as instantaneous to try out these different images on your desktop, but it is still, nevertheless, quite easy. You will have to save the images to your local hard drive and then find the way to set desktop images on your system.

1. Choose an Image

   Have a look at the thumbnails and choose an artwork that you think would look handsome on your desktop. Clicking on a thumbnail will link to the 640 x 480 version for that artwork so you can get a closer look.

2. Select a Size

   Select the correct size for your monitor's settings. I often choose the size one down from my actual monitor size so that I can have some space around the image for my desktop icons. In this way, the icons do not obscure the artwork. It works well to have the artwork centered within a black desktop. So, for instance, if you had your monitor set to 1024 x 768, try choosing the 800 x 600 version of the desktop art. But, it's your choice. If you wish to fill up your entire desktop with one of these artworks, go right ahead!

3. Load the Image

   Once you've decided what size you will use, click on the link for that size and wait for the image to load in completely.

4. Set as Wallpaper

   Assuming that you're using Netscape Navigator, once the image has finished loading you can right-click anywhere on it to display a pop-up menu. Select the "Set As WallPaper" option and you're done. It's as simple as that. When you look at your desktop again, it will be adorned with a Tom Kidding artwork.

By downloading and using any of my Desktop Art images on your desktop, you in so doing agree to the terms of my Desktop Art License Agreement, as outlined below. There is nothing complicated about this license agreement. There are no fancy catches. By granting you the right to use my Desktop Art images on your computer, I do not confer on you any further special rights regarding the use of the images.

Under this agreement, you are permitted to use the Desktop Art images (hereafter referred to as the Works) as background or 'wallpaper' images on your computer's desktop. You are also permitted to print the Works in poster form (or other form) for your personal use only.

• You may not redistribute the Works without the express permission of the author.
• You may not profit from the Works by distributing them as part of another product, such as a CD-ROM game, greeting card, art calender, computer desktop theme, etc.
• You may not integrate the Works into any other works of authorship (such as CD-ROM games, music videos, calenders, etc.) without the express permission of the author.
• You may not create derivative works from the Works by incorporating them into your own photomontages or computer graphic designs. You may not repurpose parts or the whole of any of the Works for use in your own works of authorship.

Any violation of this license agreement may result in legal action.

These are fair and reasonable terms. Be wise and respect them.
