I'm waiting for the twilight -
	many sparkling stars to fall,
piercing the worn-out veil of night
	with signalling colours that call.

Waiting for the twilight too - "T'wit T'woo" -
a waking woods-owl watches you.

The sharp sun dulls
	 to bid adieu,
and the mellow moon lulls
	into welcoming you
		- to the twilight.

Hush now, hear the twilight :
many myriads of birds that call,
filling the air with joyful hollers - tones taking flight
and on one's eager ears to fall.

As day meets night :
	Hear the greeting
	of the twilight tweeting
		tittle-tattle tit-titter.
And, as the darkness is slowly closer creeping,
hear the cheerful chorus of chirping-cheeping
		chit-chatter.
	And the syrup
	chirrup
of starlings singing the stars in.

Catch the wonder in the glorious glow of the gloaming :

	Twilight sight
with starry skies first twinkling slight.
But later, with the gradual onset of the night,
	spangled skies begin burning bright.

	What a sight!
: twilit twilight 'twixt twain lights tucked tight.
	What a sight!
	- 'tween day and night.
	Survey this splendid sight-delight
and, from this scene, take a mental bite.

	Yum!

The twilight's come and darkness approaches true.
To wit and to woo
	these last fleeting moments few,
		as twilight takes a bow,
and waits till the early morning dawning hour
to once more take its cue.
		But for now,
				a starry night.
