Story writing is a relatively recent involvement. I have always been busy at writing, whether in the form of poetry, prose, philosophy, or song lyrics. However, writing stories has proven quite a challenge for someone who usually thinks about the written word in a poetic and more abstract sense. It's definitely harder for me to write with a storyline or purpose in mind, whereas I find it easier to write expressively. There's always that temptation to make a story too detailed, desriptive, and almost prosaic in nature. It's going to require some effort on my part to focus more on plot and event sequence. At the same time, though, I think my vivid imagination could be a great help in storyboarding a film based on my descriptive writings.
I hope (time permitting) to make more short stories available to the Web in the future. Keep your eyes on this spot.
